Katia Orlandi vit et travaille à Genève. Après un cursus en multimedia à l’École supérieure d’arts visuels de Genève (ESAV), elle s’est orientée plusieurs années vers la peinture et l’installation. En dehors des circuits institutionnels, de 1995 à 2004, elle a participé à plusieurs expositions collectives et personnelles.
Ses dessins de presses ont été régulièrement publiés (Saturne, Le Courrier, Le Matin, …) et elle a participé à plusieurs collectifs d’auteurs-trices (Drozophile, Habitat et jardins, La Bûche, Les Créatives).
Depuis longtemps attirée par l’image en mouvement elle a appris l’animation vectorielle, qu’elle enseigne depuis 2007 au Centre de formation professionnel arts (cfp arts) et depuis 2017 à l’École supérieure de bande dessinée et d’illustration (esbdi) de Genève.
Depuis quelques années son travail personnel est principalement nourrit par le dessin mais elle aime expérimenter plusieurs disciplines pour élargir sa pratique artistique, notamment dans les domaines de l’animation (dessin, montage photographique, stop motion) et de l’installation in situ.


Katia Orlandi lives and works in Geneva. After a multimedia course at the École supérieure d'arts visuels de Genève (ESAV), she turned to painting and installation for several years. Outside the institutional circuits, from 1995 to 2004, she participated in several collective and personal exhibitions.

Long drawn to the moving image, she learned vector animation, which she has been teaching since 2007 at the Arts Professional Training Center (cfp arts) and since 2017 at the School of Comics and Illustration (esbdi ) from Geneva.
For a few years her personal work has been mainly nourished by drawing but she likes to experiment with several disciplines to broaden her artistic practice, especially in the fields of animation (drawing, photographic editing, stop motion) and in situ installation.
